The Technology for Cultural Heritage website is a portal into the diverse set of research centers, field projects, technology solutions and other activities related to the pioneering work of researchers at the University of California, San Diego and their collaborators in the field of cultural heritage. In 2007, UCSD launched the Center of Interdisciplinary Science for Art, Architecture and Archaeology (CISA3). Then in 2010 the National Science Foundation invested in a long-term project to train a new generation of Ph.D. scientists in diagnostics for cultural heritage, and the National Geographic Society forged a partnership which has UCSD students developing technologies for National Geographic explorers and expeditions. This website is a window into the exciting and pioneering activities of UCSD researchers at the intersection of art, science and exploration. Welcome to Technology for Cultural Heritage.
